Not Hot!!

We came out of the house this morning and it was NOT HOT!!! Dude, I was so stoked!

When the weather begins to cool and the sun sets a little earlier, I am reminded that Fall is coming!! That means two things here, in Texas. Football and CRICKETS.

You could already see them, lining up to jump on you as you got to door. If you've never experienced a Texas September - don't. Unless, of course, you relish the sound of crickets ALL DAY and NIGHT.

The other thing about September that IS cool is FOOTBALL. I grew up a Tiger and a Tiger I'll be until the day I die. Now, my ex could NEVER understand the phenomenon that is high school football. These kids play with their hearts and souls. Their parents are all in the stands, the band rivalries... ah, youth. Best time of the year.

It's still not cold, though. But, it's coming. *rubbing hands together with glee*

  1. I know!! Wasn't this morning GLORIOUS??? It was beautiful! I am so excited... FALL IS COMING!

Of course, in San Antonio, that means that it gets cold like 5 days out of the entire season - but...never the less... Actually, it's really great because it really never gets COLD here for more than a few days at a time. I never even bought the kids coats last year. When it's "too cold" we just stay indoors!

And ... I can't understand the football thing either and I grew up a Tiger but you know me... I can't understand what is up with football. Little boys dressed up in play clothes "wrastlin' in the grass". Just not my thing. But if I were in Belton, I'd meet you after the game for coffee and you could tell me ALL ABOUT IT! LOL!

You know - I can seriously only recall going to like 2 or 3 football games my entire jr and high school career. I think I was usually working.

Anyway I'm rambling in your comments box...how rude.
